thirty five weeks ish

For about thirty five weeks he has been mine, maybe he will be so for the rest of my weeks or perhaps he won't. I'll keep counting and hope the numbers do not stop.

This morning we ate breakfast on the bedroom floor and he made a puzzle and I did magnetic poetry and that was that.

gotta get you into my life

On one of my numerous sick days this week I attempted to bring a little bit of London back into my life. My longing for The Breakfast Club's apple and cinnamon French toast was nowhere near satisfied by my attempt  and so I cry out 'TBC! I WANT YOU, INEED YOU, OH BABY OH BABY!'
Nothing will ever compare. I think I may write them a wee note, a plea to send me some toast.

NOT THE REAL THING. NOT EVEN CLOSE.
THE REAL THING.

siriusly

On a most lovely sunny Monday we packed ourselves a picnic and went on wheels to Sirius Cove. What a wonderful spot it was, down by the water in stunning view of the harbour, bridge and all. We found critters of all kinds and let the sunshine clear our minds and watched the day disappear. I love picnics, I do.

I was curious as to why my sister was distracted while snapping, then I  discovered cousins in  my pictures and the mystery was solved. Charming.

I questioned whether or not to explain this photograph and came to the conclusion that frankly, I have no explanation.

If you only knew how much boy, if you only knew...

for the love

I cleared the clutter and placed the dirty laundry where you do. I made certain that dinner was ready only moments before he walked in the door. The striped socks on his feet that didn't quite match and the stubble on his cheeks reminded me of why I love him so.

for art's sake

Days of researching has landed me in a wonderland of utter awe and amazement at the creative genius of particular people. Namely Spencer Finch, Kazue Taguchi and the one and only Yayoi Kusama. Sir Finch has done some wonderful things in his time, things that I wish I had done. This was one of my favourites, ever so appropriately titled 'Moondust.' I emplore you to peruse the pages of these people if you're lacking in inspiration or if you fancy adding a little extra something to your day.

Take a peek at Finch's lovely works right here: http://www.spencerfinch.com/
